I'm moving on up to a Burberry Party

Now you know you have arrived when you get an invited to a Burberry Party. So People let it be known that I have arrived because I did get invited to such a party and it was the best ever. I have moved on up to the eastside like George and Weezy. The shindig was held a the Burberry boutique in Beverly Hills and t everyone who is anyone in this town gather at the store for a little soiree hosted by Burberry Chief Creative Officer Christopher Bailey and British actress Rosie Huntington-Whiteley to celebrate the launch of Burberry new fragrance, Body. Well, maybe not that little as over 400 guests, including some major A-listers like Cat Deeley, Sir Patrick Stewart, Serena Williams, Rachel Zoe, Jayma Mays, Lily Aldridge, Erin Heatherton and Kate Bosworth came out to support Bailey and Burberry.

Fashion Night Out LA Style

So this is from Fashion Night out at Ron Herman Fred Segal. I know this is ages ago, but a girls been so busy. Now everyone knows, that I'm a photo booth ho. I  have so many pic that I could start my own art show of me at work. So when I found out the it was taken with a professional photographer, I was so stoked. And  look  at this pic. We all look good,  I i need no direction from the photographer as all those years of watching Top Model paid off. I had a fierce pose and I was smizing  with my eyes . Now, I hate those shoes, but we all can't be perfect.  I 'm sure mama T would be proud of this photo

Yay Me. I just found out I made  the news. OK, not really the news but my picture did make it into  the lovely N. Jayne Seward's  post  about Fashion Night Out  for  Apparel News. Wahoo!!!  I was wearing  my vintage blue dress I got from Jet Rag with a black belt, silver necklace that my friend Casey told me to wear( thanks), and my make-up was flawless. I had to admit that I looked good and so did others as I got many complements thought out the night. And all that attention to detail paid off.
The only thing I would do different next time is to put that jacket down and wear better shoes. Yes, I know they are ugly, but my feet were hurting and I choose comfort over style. Oh well we all make some fashion faux pas sometimes and those shoes were mine

Introducing the Yolie Smash

So after many years of begging and pleading many bartenders around town and elsewhere, I finally got a drink created for me. David Kupchinsky a.k.a. Ol' Man Winter from The Eveleigh created the Yolie Smash for me on my birthday last night. Talk about an honor. It was the best gift a girl could get. OK, I might have asked him to make a drink named after me, but seeing that I never manage to get anyone to do one, I wasn't really expecting it.  Made of mezcal, Serrano pepper, heirloom tomatoes, cucumber, Pimm's and lime juice, it's a smokey, spicy drink ( just like me) and I love it. It taste so good that I had 5 last night and I'm still alive. I must get the recipe so I can make it myself at home and get it made at other bars. I'm so going to get the word out because everyone should be drinking the Yolie Smash.

Update.
I guess God was listening or read my blog because few days later, The Yolie Smash made it on the menu for the Eveleigh New Farmer Market Sundays. I can finally check off get a drink named after me on a menu off my list now.
